TC Helicon Harmony G XT Vocal Reviews  5 / 5 based on 1 reviewsThis is the TC Helicon Harmony G XT vocal processor effects pedal. For the first few months of owning it I thought it was TC Electronics, nope actually a company called TC Helicon.
Now this pedal does some incredible things. I feel I have not even tapped into half of what it can do, but I bought it to thicken up my live vocals as well as nail that overused trendy auto tune sound.
A friend had told me about this pedal, so I went to my local music shop to demo one and it impressed me enough to buy it. New the TC Helicon is $240.
The pedal has XLR ins and outs. Actually stereo and or mono outputs, but I can't say how glad I am that it is XLR connections. Most vocal processors you have to deal with the hassle of getting a XLR to TRS 1/4' adapter.
It also has a USB cable that allows you to hook it up to your computer to tweak effects or use as a handy vocal interface.
After figuring it out, I can just enter the key of the song I'm playing and it will harmonize. It can do octaves, 3rds, 4th, 5ths and 6th above and below the fundamental note you are singing. You can stack I believe up to 4 effects on your voice to make even a talentless hack like myself sound overly processed and mediocre.
This pedal is not easy to use right away. I needed to set aside 4 hours to mess with it and I still have not tapped into what all it can do.
Very strong pedal. Clicks on and off easy enough. Actually during a show some (insert unkind word) spilled a beer around it. It got wet, I unplugged it and wiped it down letting it dry until the next set. It powered right back up and works well.
So that to me proved this pedal was made well.
Use it for cool delays, echoes and reverbs on your voice or get some happening vocal harmony and autotune effect. Billy rated this unit on 2011-03-15.
